Super Science Saturday next month

Na Pua No`eau, the University of Hawai`i at Hilo’s Center for Gifted and Talented Native Hawaiian Children, is currently accepting applications for its Super Science Saturday, scheduled for April 12, 2003 for native Hawaiian students in grades K-12.

Two separate classes are being offered: students in grades K-5 will discover science on a tide pool field trip and also help with the restoration of an ancient fishpond; students in grades 6-12 will go on board the University’s research vessel, Four Winds, to learn the customs of oceanography.

Parents are encouraged to attend and learn with their children.
