Great Decisions course at UH Hilo
Great Decisions 2007 will be offered this fall at the University of Hawaii at Hilo for those desiring a deeper understanding of the current challenges the United States faces in the world today.
The nine-session course is being offered Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. starting September 20 and running through November 15 in UCB 330. The instructor is Dr. Phillip Taylor, UH Hilo professor of political science, and topics include: The Middle East, Climate Change, Mexico, Migration, South Africa, War Crimes, Central Asia and Children of the World.
The Great Decisions program is a prestigious grassroots world affairs educational program and the flagship program of the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-governmental organization. Feedback from students of Great Decisions 2007 will be sent directly to federal policymakers in the U.S. State Department.
The fee for the course is $60 and includes the Foreign Policy Association’s briefing book “Great Decisions 2007.” Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) members enjoy a $5 discount on the course fee.
