Internship Opportunities

UHH Home > Student Affairs > University Disability Services

There are several collaborative community placement opportunities offered every semester through the University Disability Services Office. The Placements are Sociology or Political Science Internship courses. The sites include Goodwill Industries, ARC-Hilo, and Casey Family Program. As part of the placement with UDS, there may be instructional sessions on various disabilities given by Susan Shirachi depending on the number of placement students enrolled. Each placement site has unique requirements and requires registration in one of the internship courses. Internship opportunities are subject to change and students who are interested in learning more about this opportunity should contact Susan Shirachi, University Disability Services Director at (808) 933-0816 (voice), (808) 933-3334 (TTY), shirachi@hawaii.edu.
