What I learned while at UH Hilo uniquely prepared me for my medical school education at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at UH Manoa.

The education I obtained at UH Hilo prepared me for medical school and the demanding course work in the curriculum. UH Hilo also promoted dedication to excellence and multi-tasking that allowed me to not only complete my medical education but also participate in medical organizations at both the local and national levels.

The other side of my education was my work for the University in the Student Housing department. The unique skills and abilities I developed there proved invaluable to me in the medical field. My ability to deal with unique and high intensity situations is founded on the experience I gained working and learning at UH Hilo. The education also helped me to gain the opportunity to travel across the country and secure a spot in my Residency program.

I am currently a Resident in a double board program to specialize in Emergency and Internal Medicine at one of the top programs in the country.

If I had to do it all over again I would still pick UH Hilo to begin my education.
