One of the main reasons I chose to attend UH Hilo was its proximity to my home in Kohala. UH Hilo is the only school where I could get a quality education and still drive hiome on the weekends. The result: I was able to stay close to those I love while enjoying a measure of freedom. The cost of tuition is very reasonable, and the scholarship programs offer something for just about everyone.

I have been taught by amazing professors from around the globe. They have imparted not only their knowledge, but also their enthusiasm. One semester, I was privileged to participate in the National Student Exchange which allowed me to attend classes in Colorado for credit here. I have learned so much both inside and outside the classroom. Thanks to UH Hilo, I can begin next chapter in my life with confidence.
